Due to "someone" not renewing their passport, our plans to go to Germany didn't work out. However, my dad came to the rescue and found a USA Germany in a small town in Washington, Leavenworth. We arrived Thursday night and instead of it being an hour drive it turned into a 3 1/2 hour drive through a pretty scary pass. Glad to say we made it alive and safe. Friday morning we ventured out to see all the little German shops and to try some yummy German (Americanized) food. After exploring the town we waited around for Santa to arrive to do the lighting of the lights. Hadlee was a little confused as to why Santa was dressed "funny". Not the normal outfit that you see him in all the time. This made her not have too much interested in him. After the thousands of lights turned on we headed back to our hotel to climb into our warm beds. Saturday we decided to head back to Seattle to spend the night there. We had so much fun exploring the city. Defiantly a place we will be going back too.
