This year we spent the New Years at the cabin with my family. I always love to go to the cabin because its seriously a weekend to relax and literally stay in your pajamas all day. We spent a lot of time doing crafts, puzzles, games, eating, hide n seek, and a little shopping at the Park City outlets. It was a needed vacation and we were sad to come home but so ready to start the new year!

December 29th, Natacia & Trevor got married! It was such a beautiful day and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. Toss looked absolutely stunning, and Trevor didn't look bad himself :) I can't explain how happy I am so see my best friend have her happily ever after. Toss has been through so much this past few years and to see her finally truly happy is what I have been praying for. Its so unreal to see ourselves finally married. I remember in 7th grade always talking about growing up, we always wanted to be older then we were and experience all the grown up stuff. Little did we know we would miss those days in 7ths grade and at time wish we could go back. However, I am so glad to see her dreams come true. Like I said the day was amazing, they had a unforgettable sealing in the SLC temple, and then a gorgeous reception.

Monday, my sister invited us to go Skiing with them. Most of my family ended up going and it was seriously a blast. They had to kick us off the lift literally.... The last 3 years i have taken up snowboarding since that's what Pete loved, even though I didn't feel as comfortable on a board then I did ski's I loved it. However, because everyone was skiing besides Pete and my brother-in-law I figured I better ski so that I can keep up. Skiing comes way more natural to me then snowboarding. I figured that since I haven't skied for a couple years I would be the laugh of the day. Don't get me wrong I gave everyone a good laugh when I feel into a tree and couldn't get out but for not going for awhile I did great and was able to keep up with everyone! Also, it was my little sister Kalie, 2 of my nephews and my brother-in-law first time skiing. It was so much fun to watch them! We had so much fun that we have already planned out next ski trip and decided that this should be our new tradition to go the day after Christmas!

We had a fabulous Christmas! We loved spending time with our families! Hadlee's favorite part was handing out the presents. She didn't care much for unwrapping the presents she was more concerned at giving them out! It was so cute! Santa sure did spoil us all! THANKS SANTA!

It was so much fun going to Church on Christmas.... it doesn't happen that often. All Petes family except for his brother and family went to chruch with his parents.

For Christmas this year I got my parents an unlimited boarding pass all around the world.......

This has seriously been my dads dream to have one of his kids work for an Airline. I had to hold my secret in from everyone but Pete for almost 2 weeks.... hardest thing ever! I am so excited for this new journey in my life.

Tis was the night before Christmas...

We decided to stay up in Salt Lake for the weekend to make things a little easier so that we wouldn't have to drive back and forth. Our plan was to go home Christmas Eve night to have Christmas morning at home but with some begging of my mom and little sister we decided to have Christmas morning at my parents which I am so glad we did. Christmas Eve morning we went bowling with the Hind family. This year was a little hard with Hads, she loved rolling the ball down the lane but didn't understand why she couldn't run down the lanes. After bowling my dad took us all out to lunch. After lunch we headed for the Schipaanboords for some games and goodies. Pete and I had to drive back home to pick up all the presents while Hadlee stayed and played with my parents. That night, we opened up our Pj's and helped Grandma prepare the coffee cakes.

Almost Christmas

The Christmas season has been so much fun this year because we finally had a kid to share the excitement with. This year was a little weird without the snow... of course the year that I tell myself that I am going to embrace the snow, it doesn't snow. My plan for the month of December was to do all the fun festive things. With our busy schedules, Pete being in school we were able to do everything I had planned which I was so bummed about. But it didn't take long to realize that all that stuff is not what mattered most. It was being with my little family, and that truly was the best part about this month. I loved every minute I was able to spend with Pete and Hadlee even if it was just saying our good byes in the morning!

Our house is ready for Santa to come....

Hadlee loved the idea of a house made out of candy. After eating half of the candy she finally got the hang of placing the candy on the house. She loved it!

The Sunday before Christmas my sister Alicia invited us all to her house for a Nativity and goodies. It was so special to see the kids dressed up and read the story of Christ birth. Its easy to get so caught up in the whole commercialized Christmas, but it was neat to do this to remember what the true meaning of Christmas is. Last year Hadlee got to be baby Jesus, this year she just wanted to run around and so baby Jesus was first a baby doll then somehow was replaced by Mickey.

After we did the Nativity we had a special visitor. Santa! Hadlee was not a huge fan of him, she liked him from far away but wasn't nothing to do with him when we got up close to him.

Just found these pictures and realized I never posted them..... A little background, for those of you that have been on cruises will totally know what I am talking about but for those that haven't, throughout the whole cruise they have photo stations set up for you to take pictures. Before dinner some people take these pictures really serious. They dress up all nice and full on take some serious pictures that we couldn't help but laugh at. So Ivy and me decided to make these a little fun. The photographers would try to pose us and then right before they snapped the picture we would throw our hands up or make some face. The funniest part was that we wouldn't laugh and act like we are serious. The boys had to walk away cause either they were to embarrassed of us or they couldn't keep a straight face. The photographers thought we were crazy but people on the ship got a kick out of it.

Frakes Party

It was time for the Frakes party this year. Although it tuned out to be more of a Hind party with only my Cousin Ashleigh and her family there it was still fun to get together!

I was extra excited to give my Grandma her gift. Over the past 4 mouths I have raided her house for pictures and all the information I could find about hers and my Grandpas past. Although I probably spent 50+ hours doing this I enjoyed every minute. I got to learn things about them that I nor anyone ever knew. The best part was seeing my Grandma cry as her read it. It seriously made it all worth it.

When Pete arrived home from flying Saturday morning, Louie the Elf was awaiting him with his favorite breakfast (Cinnamon Roll Cake). We hurried and got ready because we had to spend the afternoon test driving some cars.... no luck!
That night we met up with some friends at Red Lobster, of course! Pete was loving every minute of his ultimate feast. Thanks everyone for coming to Dinner to celebrate with us!

I loved this, I looked over and both Jay and Pete were coloring with Hadlee. they were more into then she was.

Sunday we finished off the celebration at Pete's parents house of Pete's favorite, Stroganoff & Mud Pie!

It was a great weekend getting to spend with my little family. I couldn't ask for a more greater husband and father to Hadlee. He is honestly amazing and I love him more each day!

December 1st, Louie's elf friend came to visit since Louie was still at the North Pole (not unpacked yet). She brought with her some Christmas books which Hadlee couldn't have been more excited about.

December 2nd, Louie finally made his arrival and brought with him Hadlee's very own Christmas tree to put in her room. She absolutely loved it.

Thursday my beautiful mom turned 60! (She is probably going to kill me for posting her age on here) We debated on throwing a big party or just doing something as a family. We decided to just plan something with just the adults mainly so that we could relax and go to a nice place instead of chasing around the kids and going to Chucky Cheese! To make it more exciting we decided to make it a surprise! YAY! I was a little late so I missed the surprise but I heard it was a good one. We surprised her at Brio which was sure Yummy, and just hung out as a family. Unfortunately, Pete had class and was the only one that wasn't able to be there. Can't wait for this semester to be over!:)

Tuesday I thought would be a normal day, until I was on the way to work and this happened.

I couldn't be more blessed that me and Hadlee was fine along with the other people involved. I am sad to say that good ol' Goldie was totaled. I will sure miss her! She had done me good for the past 3 years!

Luckily this is my only scratch.

Natacia's Black & White Shower

YAY! Natacia is getting married! I couldn't be more happy for her! We have been talking about this day since we were in 7th grade and I am so happy that she is getting to experience it. Saturday, all of us girl throw her a Black & White themed shower. It turned out super cute with all the black and white food & decoration. Toss got some 'fun' stuff and it was great too get to see friends and catch up!

We decided that because we were going to be up in Salt Lake for Thanksgiving we might as well just spend the weekend at my parents so that we didn't have to drive back and forth for all the fun activities that were going on. It was so much fun sleeping at my parents house and Hadlee loved waking up and getting to play with Grandma & Grandpa.

I met Pete Wednesday night at my parents to hang out of course do a puzzle (tradition) with some of my family. Thursday morning, we watched the parade while getting ready. This year Thanksgiving dinner was at the Schipaanboord which I can never complain about. Jan cooked up an amazing dinner which I wouldn't expect any less. After dinner & Games (I left for a little shopping, don't judge) we were off my my parents for pie. I promised myself that I was not doing the whole black Friday shopping..... yes you heard it right, I was NOT going to go shopping. Everyone knew I was kidding myself and I totally was. I had my mind made up until 9:00 PM when my parents were walking out the door to meet up with my brother and sister at Walmart. I couldn't miss out on what I thought would be fun. It was NOTHING but fun. Walmart was a joke! Now, I am not one of those people that think I am too good for Walmart, I actually love Walmart, but when it comes to black Friday I am going to stay away. I witnesses a old lady being trampled, and guy running and jumping onto of sheets that everyone was trying to get it... it was complete chaos! It totally reminded me of the movie 'Jingle all the way'. I will defiantly not be going there on black Friday ever again. Not to mention I got nothing that I went for. Since I was up I figured I might as well head to the mall. Luckily my friend Kelsey wanted to join me. I found a few great deals but I am still trying to convince myself they were worth the loss of sleep. Pete once again thought I was crazy, the difference in this year was that he actually encouraged me to go. He said he knew I would have regretted it. How sweet.... he knows me too well.

Friday, Pete went to his parents with Hadlee to watch the game while I continued to shop till I dropped. Saturday, we woke up to the smell of coffee cakes (specially made for me) My sisters and mom took my sister Hilarie out for lunch for her birthday. That night was one of my Best friends Bridal shower that we throw for her. It was so much fun and I can't wait for her to be married and too see her as a bride!(Pictures to come)

All in all it was a great Thanksgiving Weekend! I seriously have so much to be thankful for including:

Over the weekend, we decided since we had plans with some friends in Salt Lake on Friday night and because Pete had work on Saturday in SL we would spend the weekend at my parents since they were out of town. Well I am glad we did, my little sister mentions that she didn't think Jazzy (our 20 year family Cat) is going to make it. Now, because Jazzy was so old it was normal for her to look old and not be too active. So I didn't believe her. That night when we got home from hanging out with our friends Jazzy was laying by my parents bed looking miserable. Usually if you call her name she will come cuddle with you but she wasn't able to move her back legs at all. Pete and I sat on the ground with her and knew it was no good I even broke down in tears, I think Pete was shocking that I was actually crying over a animal (that's not like me) but he totally understood (being that is still gets teary eyed over his pets that died years ago). The next morning my sister Kalie took her into the vet and because of her age she was too weak and couldn't move. We had to make a decision and we decided it was best to put her down. It was heart breaking! I sure miss her when I visit my moms house. It is just not the same without her. She was the best cat ever!

Her new thing is to take out everything she can reach in the pantry and stack them on each other. She wasn't getting it very high until dad helped her.

This little girl has a mind of her own, yes, I know its only going to get worse as she gets to be a teenager but for now we love it! She has started to talk and its still unreal. She is growing into a fun, loving, and crazy toddler. I am pretty sure that her favorite thing to do is make our hose a mess. It doesn't matter where and how, its like she doesn't like a room to be cleans, because minutes after cleaning a room, she some how finds a way to mess it up... so please don't judge if you come to our house!

The Actual Halloween!

On Halloween, Pete and I both had to work so Hadlee enjoyed the day with Grandma Karen, they read books and played in the leaves. Hadlee loved it! That night Pete and I met up with Hadlee and some of my family at my sisters house for dinner and Trick or Treating. When I first got here Hadlee was sleeping, I immediately woke her up, she was not going to miss out of this fun! I am sure she will thank me one day! The older kids left without out. So we decided to just take Hadlee and Kenzi. They loved it, they got the hang of it real fast and didn't want to stop. They were such a hit, we sat at peoples door steps forever while little old people drooled over them! After doing a little Trick or Treating there, we headed to Grandma Jan;s to surprise them. Right when we got there, they turned their light off, that didn't stop us. They were happy to see her! And of course she got MORE candy!

Halloween came and went, and we sure took advantage of it. Hadlee defiantly took after me in Loving this holiday. Unlike her dad which doesn't care much for it. Saturday before going to my sisters party, we stopped at Pete's parents house for their neighborhood Trunk or Treat

{side note:} who invented these.... seriously what happened to the old fashion way for Trick or Treating... much more fun
We met up with most of the cousins which was so fun to see all of their costumes. It didn't take long for Hadlee to catch on to the whole thing. After going to all the "Trunks" she tried to go back through and put her candy in their buckets. After stopping her, all she wanted to do was sit down and look throw her candy..... way too much sugar for one weekend.

Well another birthday came and went, and I am now less then a year away from being 25! I don't know why but that kinda freaks me out. I will be half way there till 50, which makes me sick. I hate getting old. I wish I could stay young. I am sure many people would disagree but I don't know what it's like to be old and I am not so interested at this time of my life of finding out. Anyways, because my birthday fell on a Sunday it kind of got celebrated a couple of days before. Friday, my MIL was sweet enough to offer to keep Hadlee over night so that Pete could take me out. (Thanks Jan) I was super excited because we realized this was the first time since we had Hadlee that it would be just Pete and I. We usually bring Hads along, or when we have gotten a babysitter we usually go with family or friends. So we were excited! Pete met me at the mall, so that we could do a little shopping. After that we headed down to the 'Riverwoods' in Provo. If you haven't been here I HIGHLY recommend it. It is seriously the cutest little out door mall. There was a local instrumental band playing, they were amazing. After, we listened to them and did a little more shopping, we went to dinner at Tuscany. Yes, this was my choice not Petes. I still am not sure why I always pick this place because it is known for all its MEAT! But I think its because of the cheese rolls, I am pretty sure I gained 10 lbs just from that.They are beyond delicious! After dinner, the plan was to see a movie, but I was already tired and we all know what happens to me in movies.... I sleep. So we decided to just call in a night and head home. Saturday, Pete had to fly, so I got to clean the house which to be honest, was great not having Hadlee there. Once Pete got home we headed up to Salt Lake. My sisters & Mom took me to lunch at Gander Village and then of course since all the Witches were out we had to walk around. That night we had some friends over at my moms for some cake & ice cream.
Sunday, ended up being just one of those days that everything went wrong, one thing being I got pulled over. But don't worry, the cop had a heart and couldn't bring himself to give me a ticket on my birthday!
Anyways, it was a great birthday! Thanks Pete, and everyone that made it special!

Have I mentioned that I love my job, I work at a place called Heritage Makers, just as a customer service agent. Most people assume that talking to people and hearing about all their problems would be just a job they go to just for the money. But I can honestly say I love it. Yes, there are those calls that I get that i have to put myself on mute so that I don't say something that will get me fired, but the best part is the old ladies that call in and are so lost. I feel that I can make a difference and make it easier on them. I also enjoy talking to people and getting to know them. And the best part is, I love who I work with. Moving down to Orem, I didn't really felt like I had friends down here until I started working. These are my new Orem/Provo friends and I love them. We try to make every day exciting. For the month of October, I decided to start a 'boo' around the office. It was great to see it go around the office!

Saturday, we all finally got to get together, with everyone's crazy schedules and with some of us not living close its gets harder and harder to find time to catch up. However, Erin was in town this weekend after having her sweet little baby and we were all so anxious to meet little Liam so we decided to spend that afternoon together and also celebrate my Birthday. It was so fun to catch up on all their lives. Living in Orem, I kinda feel out of the loop so it was so good to see them all. Toss is planning her wedding which I am so excited for her and can't wait to see what a beautiful bride she is going to make. Kelsey is pregnant with baby number 2 and is keeping busy with her Photography and being a mom. Madison is super busy with her dance team (She dances for the U) and is super excited for her boyfriend to move back in town so that she doesn't have to do a long distance relationship anymore. Kallee is just enjoying her life with no school and has super busy husband that is getting ready for Med School. And Erin is a brand new mom to the cutest little boy Liam, I can already tell she is an amazing mom. She is still living in St. George but will soon be moving up here once she has graduated. I love these girls, no matter what stage our lives we are in we have always stayed so close and nothing seems to have changes since the first day we all became friend. Thanks girls so taking me out for by birthday! Love you all!

Friday night was such a warm night so we decided to go to this little pumpkin patch that is right down the street from us. Ever since they started setting it up I have been so excited to take Hadlee there. Every time I drive past it, it's usually crowded, but for some reason when we showed up we were the only ones there which I was totally fine with. Hadlee was having so much fun, she was more focused on climbing onto the hay stacks then all the pumpkins. Pete bought her some glow sticks that she was pretty entertained by. We ended up leaving with 2 pumpkins which I am so excited to carve for the purpose of eating the seeds :)

Last weekend, My sister & her family along with my parents and little sister went on a little trip to Disneyland. They decided it would be best to not take their youngest Landon. Which meant we got to have him for the weekend. It was so much fun, and Hadlee loved it. She had a little buddy all weekend. Landon sure is a mamma's boy and struggled at first but it didn't take long to get used to it and they had so much fun together. But man, 2 kids are a lot harder then one especially so close in age.

After Hadlee Turned one I stopped doing her monthly updates. Well, just because she is one doesn't mean she has stopped hitting her milestone, so I feel like with all the new stuff she is doing I need to write it down so I don't forget!
I can't believe how fast she has grown. She is no longer a baby that's for sure, it is such a bitter sweet feeling. I love the age she is at now, yes, she is a hand full but I would have it any other way. She is so much fun and I fall more and more in love with her every day. Some of the things she is doing now at 14 1/2 months:

Talks, says momma, daddy, what's that, hi, papa, baby, wawa(water), baba(bottle).
Loves to blow kisses to everyone and anyone (if we say we are leaving somewhere, then she blows kisses)
Does some sign language, more, food,thank you, please, finished,shoes
Is not afraid of anyone
Gets to be with her Grandmas twice a week and LOVES it.
Loves BARNEY (we hate it, but she LOOOVVVEEES it)
LOVES to dance, she is ALWAYS dancing, if she hears music she dances, if you tell her to dance shell dance, if she sees people dancing she'll dance.
Upgraded to a front faced car seat and loves it.
Loves her baby, minnie, and Mr. bear and tries to hold them all at once
is now going down to bed at 8PM
Sleeps the full night without waking up at all
Only takes bottle when going down to bed
Takes 2 naps during the day
Can make a duck sound, turkey sound, and puker her lips like a fishy
loves to laugh, play with toys, read books, and sit on laps
Loves playing with all of mom's decorations

Geez we sure love this girl and can't get enough of her. We are so lucky to have her in our lives!

I woke up to this, this morning!

yes, its beautiful but did you notice that white stuff on the mountain????

Well I sure did, and I can officially say this is my first day of NO complaining about the snow.

My goal this winter is to embrace the winter without complaining....no matter how long it last!!! The snow was only in the mountains today but there has been a lot of this.......
So peeps, I am proud to say I have almost made it through my whole first day of this fallish/winterish weather without complaining!!!

Gotta Love Conferance Weekend!

I always look forward to Conference Weekend. I love the time I get to spend with family and just all the laziness that is involved. Pete ended up having to work on Saturday which was a bummer but me and Hads still had fun. I decided to attempt to put up the Halloween Decoration. At first Hadlee didn't care much for them and seemed to eave them alone..... that lasted about a day. Hadlee also seemed to love Conference. Right when it started she jumped up onto this table (trying to teach her that this is not a seat) and sat through the whole song, opening prayer, and first talk. It was seriously the cutest thing. Man I just love this little girl! Anyways, after watching the first 2 sessions we headed up to Salt Lake to have our Conference girls night while the boys went to Priesthood. Pete luckily got off soon enough to meet his dad and brothers down at the Conference Center. For our girls night we had dinner, chatted, and worked on our crafts.

Sunday we watched the first session and then headed up to Salt Lake again to have dinner for Pete's moms birthday. All in all it was a great weekend! The best part of it all was hearing from our Prophet and leaders. Wow, what amazing people they are. I am already looking forward to next conference!

SAtuarday morning Hadlee work up to a Halloween Basket full of goodies. She LOVED it, after seeing her reaction to this it got me even more excited to see what she does on Christmas!

Just like every year, I look forward to October, not just cause its my birthday month but because it is pretty much the coolest month ever!

Hind Family Reunion 2011

This year the Hind family decided to combined out annual Charity Yard Sale with the family reunion. This year we did the yard sale at my dads business which ended up being good because we were able to set up the night before and then keep it there to do it the following weekend as well. It turned out great we made about $2000.00 give or take a little. With that money we put on a Christmas Party for all the deaf Children and families in the valley along with doing sub for Santa's to families in need.

After the Yard sale we headed to my Aunt Cindy's for a BBQ and to just hang out. Its always good to see our extended family.

As soon as Grandma Great sat down, Hadlee ran over to her and tried to climb up onto her lap. It was such a tender moment and Grandma was loving it.

Today was Petes first day flying. Yes, a little scary on my end! All morning I was starring at my phone to receive the text that he has landed and was still alive. Pete was of course on cloud 9. If there is anything that can make him in a good mood when he wakes up its knowing that he is getting up bright and early only to get to fly. You would think they would make you finish a class on flying before they put you in the pilots seats but NOPE they just throw ya up there!

Our goal is to get 1000 hours of flying time (not all through school)
So 1 down 999 to go.... GO BABE!

After a fun weekend at Swiss Days we were so excited to both have work off on Monday and spend it as a family. Both of our families were getting together which we were so excited for because with living in Orem we feel like we never see them.

We went to the Schip's for a BBQ and then to my parents for Dinner Cafe Rio style!!

We went on a shopping spree for my sister while we were shopping over the weekend and had her model it for everyone.

Swiss days 2011

So of course we did the whole Swiss days, common did you really think I would miss it. This year it was more of a success because I was BABY FREE....... now if you remember last year (if not go here) I had a 1 1/2 month old baby with me. Love her to death but didn't love having her strapped to me in the blazing hot sun with a bunch of crazy women at Swiss days.

The fun started on Thursday night, I hurried home from work just in time as my sister Alicia to pick me up. We headed down to Midway to meet up with my mom and other sisters. This year we decided to go back to tradition and stay in a trailer in a backyard right behind the park that Swiss days is at. Growing up that was one of the best memories I have at Swiss days was camping. About 5 years ago we turned it into a girl trip and started staying Zermatt Resort. I was not complaining about camping because A. it brought back memories. B. we were right by the park which meant we spent more time there, got to hear everything that was going on there and get the real feel of Swiss Days.
Thursday night on our way to dinner we walked down main street and discovered more booths... it might seem impossible for there to be more booths at Swiss days but trust me they find new ways of expanding it. So that meant our shopping started Thursday night. After dinner we went back to the trailer for of course our girl talk and then off to bed to get our rest for the day ahead of us.
Friday we were up bright and early, we even got the privilege of hearing the announcer say "Vender's are you ready". Friday we spent the day shopping. That night my dad and brother and his wife came up for dinner which was fun to have a nice big family dinner.... minus the husband and kids which were of course missed. Saturday, we decided to ditch the crowed and head to the outlets which we happened to go at the right time because when we were leaving I am pretty sure the whole world was coming. After the outlets we went back just in time for our husbands and kids to come. I convinced Pete to come by saying I needed a ride home because I didn't drive. It worked. We spend the rest of the day just hanging out, relaxing and of course shopping. After dinner Pete and Hadlee headed home, the plan was for me to go home with them but I just could leave Swiss days early. As you can tell I love it too much. ha ha
Sunday morning we packed up and headed home. It was such a fun weekend and I am already looking forward to next.

Back To School!

Tonight Hadlee and I sent Pete off for his first day of school! This time is different then all the other semesters because Pete had the biggest grin on his face. He has been looking forward to this day for months now. He is finally going to school for something he is SO excited about. It makes me so happy! So proud of him!

Dear Hadlee,

Today was hard, I hated today, I hated the fact that I couldn't see you when you woke up for your nap or I couldn't put you down, I hated that I wasn't there to comfort you when you got hurt. As I walked out the door I could hear you screaming for me, I waned to run back in and grab you.I thought about you all day, I long for the day that I will get to stay at home with you again and we can play all day. As I pulled away from the baby sitters house I said a pray with tears rolling down my face. Am I a bad mother? Should I be doing this? I Prayed that you would understand one day and that I could understand as well that this will be worth it and I am helping our little family for a better future and to make it so I will be able to stay home with you after your dad gets done with school and starts his career. I am so grateful for this job I found. I know heavenly father blessed me to find it, its just hard to leave you. I prayed that you will be taken care of and that you will forgive me for leaving you. I love you Hadlee, I love every minute I get to spend with you. I can't wait for the day I get to be there to eat lunch with you, or to watch our shows, or when you get home from school!

Yup,unpacked and all!
We just have a couple of pictures to hang and its our home sweet home. I absolutely love it! I love moving into a new place and getting to redecorate. I think Pete loves it just as much as I do because he seems very interested in what goes where. You also don't know what you are missing until you have it such as a pantry, washer and dryer, WALK IN CLOSET, side by side fridge, bath tub, yes, I am actually excited about those things! Those are all the things that in our 2 years of marriage have never experience having in our apartments. And boy does it feel great! I don't think I have ever done so much laundry that I have in the week because I love that I can do a load while cleaning or getting ready. Also don't even get me started on the walk in closet... for once (since being married) I don't have to pack up my clothes at the end of each season so that my next season clothes can fit in our closet, nor do I have to put my shoes in random closets through out the house. Now I can display everything all in one closet.... I even was nice enough to give Pete room to hang up all his clothes!

We also went to church Sunday and got to meet our ward, its HUGE! Seriously we thought it was stake conference when we first walked in. We were wrong its just our ward, and we loved it! They were all so sweet and welcoming.

Hadlee is doing better with the move, she ended up getting her first fever which was no fun at all. It was her first time being really sick which the Dr. is quit impressed with making it a full year without having a sick baby so I guess I can't complain cause it had to happen sooner then later. But we got over that after a couple days and now we have our fun sweet Hadlee back!

Change of plans

After months of changing our plans, mixed emotions, the unknown, we finally have a plan.... well for now that is.

So a little background that I haven't posted for the reason being it kept changing. At the end of last year Pete had decided that he wanted to do Air Traffic Control. His dream ever since he was little has been to become a pilot. Being on a plane with this kid is like being with a 5 year old who has just discovered something new, not only that but when we are out side he is always the first one to point out an airplane... he just loves it. Well after talking to different people and hearing their opinions he got discouraged and decided that his dream might not be able to come true but that he would just settle with Air Traffic control because it was in the same career field (somewhat). I was all for it because A. there was NO school here in Utah which meant we were on our way out of here! B. It seemed like a good idea being that I didn't know much about it and figured that if Pete loved this stuff he would love this. So our first choice was a school in California!!!(my dream ALMOST came true) This school was one of the cheapest which was the reason why it was our #1 choice. Well after researching we found out this was not the best school to go to for this, and the percentage that came out of the school passing the test was not so good. So we throw that towel in and started back at step 1 in finding a school. Well after a lot of thought and prayer we decided on BCBB (in Baltimore) at first I was not so excited being that I wanted to get away from the cold and snow, but after alot of thought and prayer I got excited. I was so excited for this new adventure in our life. Yes, there were things I didn't know how they would work out but for me thats what I was looking forward to. I knew that we could figure it out. I have always been like that, if Pete would let us I wouldn't have moved out of state the day we got married with no jobs and no plan and just figure it out once we got there, well Pete is COMPLETE opposite, if we don't have everything set then he isn't down with it. Which I GUESS is good at times..... I guess! Anyways back to my story, So the plan was to pack up our cars/moving van on August 12th and drive cross country. We had a place, school was set, classes were registered for, the only things was to find jobs once we got there.

At Pete's Grandpa's viewing in June one of Pete's old neighbors started talking to him about becoming a Pilot, He is one himself. When Pete was telling me about their conversation you could tell that was his dream, he lite up. The guy told him to come over and talk to him. To be honest I wasn't too encouraging. I told him that there was no point in talking to him, things were already set and we were going to Baltimore. Well days went on and I could tell something wasn't right, I knew the only thing that was going to settle this was for Pete to talk to this guy and get it out of his system. I told him that I wanted to go with him because Pete is not go good at remembering conversations. And I figured he might just tell me the good not that bad.

One Sunday we met with this guy, such a great guy. He knew a lot about Air Traffic control and was able to tell us a lot of information about that. He also told us of other things that Pete could do that was kinda related to ATC. Then his face lite up, I recognized the look, it was the look Pete gets when talking about it. He began to talk about his passion for flying. He opened our eyes more(well mine). He made me feel so much better. He also said that if its something you want to do it's VERY possible. He even took us out back and showed us a plane we was building and even let Pete jump inside even though he barely fit.

Leaving his house I got a better feeling about it, I knew in the back of my head that we were no longer going to Baltimore and that my home for the next 2 years would be in good ol' UTAH!

I will admit I cried a little, and even went a day not talking to Pete, not cause I was mad, I just needed to soak everything up and re plan our next 2 years. I looked at all the positive instead of the negative and I actually got excited. Even though we won't be moving out of state, this is still a new adventure for our little family. This will be the first time we are not leaving either with family memebers or next door to family members. I am excited for that. I am excited to meet new friends and be in a new ward instead of the ward I grew up in. I am excited to be back in my college town and show Pete all the fun places I discovered while living there. I am excited to be around more young married couples. I am excited for Hadlee to be around kids her age.

Most importantly I am excited for Pete. I know this is the right thing because of how happy he gets about it. Everyday he tells me he can't wait for school to start. That makes me so happy, with staying here it almost means I get to go back to school which I have serisouly can't wait! Except now I really need to decide what I want to do! Ifs different when you are paying for school yourself, you want everyone freaking credit to counts since your paying a butt load for it, so there is no messing around and taking classes for the fun of it.

So thats our plan so far, I have faith that one day we will live someone else and take an adventure but for now we are staying here and I ever promised Pete I am going to go all winter not complaining about the cold..... People... thats a BIG deal, I am telling you!

This weekend we are moving into our new place which we are so excited for, keep posted, picture are coming!

After thinking this up in my head for the past year it finally all came together. I seriously had so much fun doing it especially for this little monkey. I knew that I wanted to do a pink and yellow scheme, and after getting ideas from other blogs I decided to do a Monkey and Banana's theme. Which coincidentally was perfect because I have always called her Monkey! I was a little bummed that I didn't get the best pictures due to the lighting but you can get the idea! I was hoping that I would get more pictures before the guest arrived but that didn't happen so there are things that are missing!

Pioneer Day (25th)

For the 24th this year we started off our day sleeping in.... yes, we missed the parade. I was so excited for get to take Hadlee this year but after staying up way too late cleaning up after her party we decided to take advantage of sleeping in the next day. After a lot of sleep we headed off the the mall for a little shopping! That's always fun, after the mall we headed up to Park City to meet up with some of my family. We got there a little early so we decided to go to the outlets and look around. Around 4:00 we met up with everyone at the Alpine Slide. I decided to stay back and watch the little ones while everyone else did the coaster and the slide!

After the slide we met up with the rest of the family at a park on main street that we grew up going to. It brought back lots of memories. Pete and I got Cafe Rio (he is on this kick lately) while the rest ordered pizza. The kids played on the playground while we chit chatted! It was fun to have everyone there. We don't usually get to have everyone at the same place during the summer due to the business so it was good to have everyone there.

1st Birthday Party

Hadlee's birthday started at 4:00 AM, she woke up at 4 and was happy as can be. She totally gets this from me. When I know there is a sale, birthday, or something exciting the next day I wake up super early and can't sleep like its Christmas or something.... Anyways, she woke up at 4 and wanted to play, Pete brought her into our bed, we turned off the lights and she sat straight up and and was literally trying everything she could to wake us up, jumping on the bed, jumping on us, slapping our face, she was not going to let us sleep. Finally at about 5 we put her back into her crib and she went back to bed. I went in when I woke up and this is the cute face I saw...

We spent most of the day getting ready for her party. Okay, now before you say anything, I know I went a little over board, I have been reminded over and over again that she is not going to remember this but guess what, this is what I enjoy doing. I loved all the hours I put into this because it was for her, she may not remember it but she will have many pictures to look back on. So anyways, back to the party. It turned out just how I imagined it since the day she was born. I think I was planning her party before I even had her. Pete seriously thinks I am crazy. At least he still loves me. The theme was Monkey's & Banana's. (I call her Monkey)

When everyone left we took Hadlee to play with her toys while we cleaned up, every time we checked on her she was either reading her new books or her cards.

It was such a fun day! We can't thank everyone enough for making a effort of coming and celebrating this special day with us! We love you guys!

Can't believe a year ago today this little girl entered our lives! Last night I was laying in bed trying to think what our life was like a year ago without Hadlee. Words don't explain the love I have for you! You have been the biggest joy in our lives since we found out you were going to be a part of our family. Dear my little Hadlee,

A year ago from today, I met you for the first time, I fell in love with you right then even though I knew I loved you from seeing the ultrasound for the first time. At that moment I could only imagine what the next year was going to be like. After living it I can look back and say that I loved every minute of it. I loved every minute I lost of sleep because of you, I loved every poopy diaper I changed, I loved hearing you cry, I loved waking up to your cute smile every morning, I loved not being able to do the things we were able to do when it was just me and dad because of you, I loves every sacrifice I had to make for you, I loved being poor because of all the baby expenses, I loved that I got to take a break from school to be your mommy, I loved watching you and your daddy with each other, I loved being able to be a stay at home mom, I loved getting thrown up on, I loved getting you dolled up, I loved watching you grow and learn new things, I loved hearing your first words, I loved watching you take her first steps, I loved seeing you tear apart our house, I loved every single thing that came with you first year of life.

I can honestly say there hasn't been a day this whole year that has went by that I didn't look at you and tell myself how lucky I am. You have been such a blessing in mine and daddy's life. We always wonder how we got so blessed with such a good and beautiful baby, everyone is always saying how good of a baby you are, I just hope all your siblings are the same because I don't know what I'll do.

I sit here in shock that you are already a year and know that I will be sitting here when your 16 years old wondering where the time went. I can't wait for the all fun times that are ahead of us but right now I am fine with where we are now. Had's I can't say I love you enough. Not only do I, but you have so many others including daddy, your grandparents, your great grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends that adore you. Most importantly your Heavenly Father loves you. Every time you see a picture of Jesus your face lights up and you just blab on and on. I know you remember him and know who he is. Never forget him Hadlee. There are going to be times in your life when you will be faces with trails and he will be the only one that knows what your going through and is there to help you through them. Always remember that! One day when your older and reading this there is one thing I want you to know, and that is that me and your dad love you so much, EVERYTHING about you! Thanks for being such a good baby and helping me learn how to be a mother. I know at times it took a lot of patients! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect first child! Last weekend we headed to Midway, Utah for a little mini vacation. A couple of months ago we got an awesome deal for a one night stay at the homestead and a round of golf for 2 people. I wasn't too excited about the golfing and would rather be shopping so we decided to invite our friends Kelsey and Kevin to come along and be our golfing and shopping buddies! The plan was to bring the little ones but at the last minute decided it might be more relaxing to get a sitter.We had so much fun with them. Saturday Pete and Kevin woke up early in order to make it to their 9:45AM tee time. Kelsey and I headed up around noon to the Park City outlets to do a little shopping. After that we met up with the boys in Midway. This was my first time at the Homestead and I fell in love, it is seriously the cutest little place. We spent the rest of the day soaking up the sun at the pool. That night we went out to dinner and a yummy Mexican Restaurant and then enjoyed ice cream at the Famous Timpfreeze. After taking a little drive we went back to our room for GAME NIGHT. Me and Kels were all for it and the boys ended it real fast. Party Poopers! The next morning we enjoyed breakfast at Fanny's which included a beautiful view. After checking out we went back to the outlets to finish up our shopping and the back to the SLC we went! It was such a fun little getaway. Thanks Kelsey & Kev for coming along!

Last Saturday all us girls throw Erin a baby shower for her and little Liam! I got a little carried away with the decorations but I loved how it turned out and it was worth it ( Pete thinks I am crazy)! It was such a beautiful day and we had so much fun catching up and getting to see each other. Just a couple more things to get and little Liam will be ready to come + 2 more months!! I couldn't be more excited and happy for Erin and Neal. I can't even imagine how beautiful their baby is going to be! Erin is going to be such a great mom and I can't wait for her to get to experience it! P.S did you see how good she looks geez, if I looked even half as good when I was pregnant I would probably wouldn't stop having kids!!! Love you Erin!

I remember the first time I had to say goodbye. It was 16 years ago. I cried, and cried some more and it took me about a week to get over loosing my 2 best friends. I would look forward to every summer growing up because that meant I got to go visit them. And when they would come here to visit I remember the excitement I had, I would wake up bright and early and wait all day for them to arrive. I would call my Grandmas house all day asking if they had arrived. Over time our lives got more busy and seeing each other every summer was getting to be impossible. We even went through the stage of feeling uncomfortable around each other and not talking when we saw each other. But that didn't last long. 3 years ago I got a call saying they were coming down to school at BYU and coincidentally I was going to UVU. So for the next semester we got to be roommates! We seriously had so much fun and I still laugh at some of the things we did. We all got to watch each other date stupid boys, fall in love, get our hearts broken, fall back in love, they were there for me when I got married and had a baby. But after 3 years of living here Brit is now recently married and Chelsie is moving back to Arizona. I am glad Brit will be here for a couple more years but I am so sad to see Chels move back. I have loved having her live so close. I love watching her and Hadlee together, she loves her like she was her own and I love that. Wednesday night I went down to Provo to pick up some things and to hang out. On my way home I got a little emotional, I felt like I was saying bye once again to my best friend!!! But don't worry I am already starting to plan a trip down to see her!!!

I LOVE the forth, I can say its probably my favorite holiday. For Pete not so much, he likes it but doesn't LOVE it! So of course he volunteered to work( well it was either the 4th or 24th) But Saturday we started the festivities with our nephews birthday party and fireworks. Sunday we celebrated all the July birthdays at Pete's parents which included Hadlee's then we went to my other nephews party! That night my cousin slept over so we could get up for the West Jordan Parade. After that we went to my moms for a lunch and ended up getting in a huge water fight. Pete finally got off work and we went to dinner and went to fireworks. Since Hads was worn out from all the fun we had Jan watch her thinking she would go to bed early. Well sure enough when we got home around 11:30PM she was up playing with Grandma happy as can be!! Thanks Jan for watching her!!!

The plan was so go to the airport to pick her up with my parents but the flight kept getting delayed and it was already midnight so I decided I couldn't wait any long and decided to see her in the morning. Well I received a call at about 3:00AM from Kalie wanting to come over and see Hadlee. I slept through it so first thing we did in the morning was go to my moms to wake her up. Hadlee screamed which she has never done when meeting someone new. Kalie gave her some China candy and she was just fine after that. Also she put on her outfit that she came off the plane in..... She said this is what all the teenagers wore in China. Everyone came over for breakfast and to see her. Its so good to have her home even though we don't see her much because she is a working woman and with her friends.

Pete: Just heard a boy name I really like

Just the fact that he was thinking about it makes me happy! Now don't go too crazy thinking we are trying or wanting another one now or any time soon cause Hadlee is enough for now! but it is in our near future and knowing that its on Pete's mind made my day!!!

Saturday was a busy days for us. We had to wake up pretty early because we were in the Taylorsvile Parade with my dad's business. Pete got to drive one of the trailers while I pushed Hads in her stroller and throw candy. Hads was loving it and was a hit. She was waving her little flag and smiling at everyone. She loved it! After the parade my dad bought us lunch and then we headed to little Teagon's birthday party, Hadlee's 1st friends birthday party! After that we spent the rest of the day at the pool. Later that night we met up with friends and family at Taylorsville dayzz for dinner and fireworks! I was a little nervous how Hads would do. At first she wasn't quit sure about it and cried. I tried to take her away from then ad go under the food tent so she couldn't see them. Once we got under the tent she realized she loved them and didn't like that she couldn't see them. I went back out to them and she LOVED them. She just giggled and stared!!

11 Months

One more month and Hadlee will be 1!
I know I say this every month but time is flying by. At times I love watching Hads grow and seeing all the new things she is leaving to do but at times I seriously just want to cry, I want to stop time and just soak in all these wonderful moments. Over the past month I have stopped working and it has been such a blessing. There is not an amount of money, size of house, piece of clothing that I would rather be saving for then for the time I get to spend with Hadlee. I serious wake up each day so excited to hang out with her. She brightens up my day. Although one day probably sooner then later I will have to go back to work I am not looking forward to it and trying to take full advantage of this time I have with her.
Pete and I still can't get enough of this little girl! Over the past months she is learning so many new things.
*TODAY SHE TOOK 5 STEPS BY HER SELF! before today she would stand by her self no longer then 2 seconds, this morning I stood her up on her feet and all the sudden she started to walk, she made it 5 steps and then fell into my arms. I was shocked and kept making her do it again and again, she got pretty worn out.

*Has now discovered spitting out her food and getting it all over us and everything else.... not cool at all!!! I thought we were going to get lucky and skip this step! NOPE! She also has to take out everything we put in her month, look at it, then put it back in..... gets that from her mom!

*LOVE'S to talk, she mimics up all the time

*LOVES her Grandparents & cousins!

*Loves animals

*Watched fireworks for the first time and hated them at first but then LOVED them and couldn't take her eyes off of them

*Is doing her Sign Language

*Loves to swim

*Her hair is getting blonder

*Is such a happy baby

*Is so friendly, she always smiles, waves and says hi to everyone wherever we go.

*Still takes her bottle.... trying to get her off

*Started drinking milk during the day, formula before bed

*Is in 9-12 and some 12-18 month clothing

*Has her 2 top teeth ( 4 total)

Summer Update

This summer (well can I even call it summer with its been FREEZING) has been kinda crazy, I feel like we haven't even unpacked our bags. But we are home for a while now and it has been kinda nice. Here is some random things we have been up too!

Since Sunday we spent most of our day driving home from St. George and Pete doing homework me and Had's decided to surprise dad with Dinner when he got home from work. And yes, it was quit a surprise being that my dinner making every night has been lacking lately! Obviously I had to be creative this year since Had's isn't old enough to bring home something she made from school or Church for Pete. So we made him a little book. It turned out so cute!!
I seriously couldn't have asked for a better father for Hadlee and our futrue kids. He is the best! I never imagine how much my love for him could grow from seeing him become a father!!!!

AND... I can't forget to wish my wonderful father and father-in-law a happy fathers day! I couldn't be more blessed!
